Collective Heart is a heart in which each pyramid represents a different person, and when people get together in the energy of love, they create something beautiful.
The inspiration behind it comes from my personal experience in a healing group: in the group we were doing energy healing by focusing on our heart and then sharing that energy to heal someone.
This artwork is like a visual expression of that experience.
I made "Collective Heart" by glueing 56 paper tetrahedrons to a pre-loved canvas, painted in black.
The basic heart shape I make has 14 tetrahedrons (triangles in 2D), this version is multiplied by 4, for each original triangle I am using 4, like a fractal, the same shape, but bigger. Here each tetrahedron represents one heart and they all come together to form this bigger heart, with the higher frequency colours of the rainbow at the centre of the big heart.
Canvas and paper are varnished.
