Wearing an intention

Wearing an intention

I asked myself many times: how can I help the environment?

And I did my research, and I had reactions of fear or anger.

Fear for the future, anger for the problems humans can produce for other humans and nature.

After feeling overwhelmed, I shifted into a place of curiosity:

there may be something I can do from my perspective of being someone who buys stuff, and creates stuff.

When I was working as a video editor, my manager said that I am a “problem solver”, and the CFO of the company used to say to his children:

“Don’t bring me problems, bring me solutions”.

Why not shift the attention from the problem to the solution, so we can have

“solution finders”: people who think outside the box and bring new ideas and ways to do things.

One of these is Teemill, a British company that prints T-shirts and other apparel and products, using sustainable and recycled materials.

I love the Ted talk by the founder of Teemill, “Letter to the dustbin man”.

He studied what happens when clothes are thrown away, and he implemented a solution.

And I think the most important thing is that

- Teemill products are good quality,

- the customer service is good,

- and they offer a free service to recycle their worn-out clothes, and anything 100% cotton.

For all these reasons, I use Teemill for my print on demand products (apparel, T-shirts, clothing for children, women and men, tote bags).

For me as a consumer and as a business owner it’s a win - win - win - win -win… choice

(I know, so many wins).

And I love to use the Teemill platform to design new products and see almost in real time what they will look like.

Teemill also has lots of design assets, so I let my children play with the platform to design their own mugs  :)

And with my designs I can share my art on a different level, with products where I use text as well as an image, to share an intention.
