Laughter, joy and fun

Laughter, joy and fun

In one of my first emails, I used this picture as headline.

unamarz Creations - a photo of Una Marzorati at age 1 laughing out loud

It’s one of my favourite pictures and it really shows that I was a happy child.

My mum got me that beautiful silk pyjamas, and it was the holidays, with my family.

And I was laughing out loud, like many children do, free and joyful.

That is the image of joy for me, and there is an innocence, and freedom, attached to it.

Laughter is light and joyous when we’re not in survival. But when it’s not joy, it is laughing of people, laughing of hurt.

When we are in survival, we see judgement and derision in all laughter.

I felt like a victim of laughter, of mockery, plenty of times in my life, and it lasted for many years into adulthood, because I spent a lot of time in feelings of shame and guilt.

When I had my breakthrough with meditation, the little girl in that photo was back.

And it was just joy.

Since then, it is easy for me to laugh, and I have the intention of bringing more love into my life and the lives of the people around me.

Love and fun, that joyful fun that gets us closer to each others and has so many benefits for our health and makes learning effortless.

And lately I discovered that I enjoy designing products from my artworks, and I had fun recently, developing this collection of stickers.

unamarz Creations - collection of 10 stickers - Love Pink - Love Red - Aligned - Love Black - Love White - Collective Heart - Love Opposites

They are printed on demand by Teemill in the UK, they have a matte look, and I love the quality of the product. Here is a photo of a sample I have on my desk.

And I also designed a jigsaw puzzle with a photo of my original artwork “Collective Heart”.

Eco jigsaw puzzle "Collective Heart" with original origami artwork by unamarz

It is a 1000 pieces puzzle, printed on recycled cardboard.

It took me more than a week to complete it, if you are up for a challenge, it’s the jigsaw puzzle for you!

I have other ideas to mix my art with fun in the future.

And I am inspired by artists who thought about children and about entertaining and uplifting their collectors and the public, like Keith Haring.

For love and for fun.
